Quilt lovers take note! The first Australasian Quilt Convention (AQC) is fast approaching, and everyone’s invited to join the festivities. Open from February 25 – 27, 2005, at the Melbourne Convention Centre, AQC celebrates quilting and patchwork in Australia, with the best retailers, magnificent quilt displays and award-winning lecturers, all under the one roof. To commemorate the inaugural event, every visitor will receive a special AQC collectors’ pin. Visitors will be able to shop for all the latest quilting supplies in Q-Expo. There will be fabric, patterns, notions, books, tools, batting, buttons, sewing and quilting machines and much more to browse and buy - everything you need to get started on your own quilting masterpiece. Be inspired by five wonderful quilt exhibitions, featuring works from renowned Australian and international quilters. You will see: Spirit and Strength - 50 international finalists from the annual Husqvarna Viking quilt masterpieces competition;
